Tented chalet lodge situated on the banks of the Zambezi close to the entrance of the Lower Zambezi National Park

The Royal Zambezi Lodge is situated on the banks of the Zambezi close to the entrance of the Lower Zambezi National Park. The lodge accommodates a maximum of 14 guests in spacious, tented chalets with walk-through access to full en suite facilities. An open, thatched dining room provides superb food and wine, while a unique feature of the camp is the Kigelia Bar, constructed around the impressive girth of a 'sausage' tree and stretching out over the waters of the Zambezi. Here guests can sip their ice-cold cocktails while watching a multitude of wildlife on the nearby islands.

Activities include day and night game drives, walking safaris, motor boat and canoe trips or, with tackle available for hire, the excitement of fishing for the voracious tiger fish. Afterwards, guests can cool off in the riverside swimming pool while they watch the elephants, or relax around the evening camp fire.
