KASAKA RIVER LODGE

Lower Zambezi National Park

Kasaka River Lodge is a beautifully situated lodge on a raised section of the Zambezi River bank with excellent views. Wooden walkways link the chalets and elephants often walk right underneath them.

Chalets are luxury tented and tastefully decorated with an authentic African flavour. Each has an elegantly furnished en-suite bathroom.

The Bar, Dining Area and Deck nestle amongst huge tamarind trees and are the perfect location for relaxing whilst watching the world go by on the river below.

The Lodge is situated in a natural bush environment with each chalet secluded amongst
the native flora. Overhead walkways link chalets to the lodge on the “wildside” of the camp. The gardens around the Lodge are a colourful blend of indigenous plants with paths weaving from the chalets to the pool, dining and bar areas.

The river extends the length of the property and affords breathtaking views. Close sightings of Buffalo, elephant and hippopotamus from the decks are frequent events. Bird life is abundant around the Lodge with over 300 species

You do not have to be an accomplished fisherman to catch the legendary tigerfish. The Lower Zambezi is renowned for its excellent fishing and fly fishing is becoming increasingly more popular - particularly for the voracious tiger fish – other species include vundu (giant catfish), a variety of bream, chessa, nkupi, and bottle nose. A catch and release policy is enforced in the area by the responsible authorities.
