With the base of the awesome Victoria Falls as the starting point, roller coaster over 23 rapids through the ancient Batoka Gorge. White water rafting on the Zambezi is one of the most exciting experiences you'll ever have. With your adrenaline rush at peak and a thrill that's beyond your typical adventure ride. You will find this activity extremely enjoyable. The British Canoe Union has classified the river Grade 5 “extremely difficult, long and violent rapids, steep gradients, big drops and pressure areas”. Nearly half of the rapids negotiated are Grade 5. (Grade 6 is unrunable – rapid number 9, “Commercial Suicide” is a Grade 6 rapid and rafters porter around it). |

It offers the chance to gently float past a wide variety of animals and to view the beautiful scenery along the banks of the mighty Zambezi. Most safaris take place along the Lower Zambezi, however, they are also available along the Upper Zambezi, west of Livingstone. They are not strenuous tests of endurance and are suitable for people with no canoeing experience. The main rope guides you as you make your way down the rock face.
